The artists Luxor Luna, Malu Matteo and El Yorch (Jorge Cervantes) captured with their lens the best moments of the Mayatlon, an athletic event held in the Mayan community of Pac Chen, for the Open Air Gallery.
The gallery, a project produced by Mexicool, was inaugurated last Wednesday night with the presence of artists, municipal officials and more than a dozen people.
Prior to the event, a shot was made that started at 28 de Julio Square and concluded at the facilities of the Mario Villanueva sports unit. Participated personnel of Alltournative, company that organizes the Mayatlon and Bicineta, creators of Vía Recreativa, a project that promotes the use of the bicycle.
Luis Ernesto López, director of Culture of Solidarity, was present at the cutting of the ribbon; the director of Tourism, Ernesto Bartolucci; the deputy director of Deportes, Jorge Rodríguez and representatives of Alltournative.
The gallery is located on avenue 34 between streets 10 and 20; It consists of 140 meters of photographic work that gathers the best moments of the Alltournative triathlon, with the purpose of promoting sport.
The project will be installed for three months and there are plans to replicate it in other sports facilities in the municipality.
