The mayor of Playa del Carmen, Laura Beristain, announced that they will begin remodeling work on Fifth Avenue, reported that of course the issue of irregular street vendors will be addressed as a matter of urgency because it has grown and even exceeded its capacity to all this tourist area.
The mayor said that the remodeling of the Fifth Avenue will be made with the resources allocated by the federation that are about to arrive, she said that unfortunately there are tourists who complain about the poor condition of Fifth Avenue, so she asked for the support of all sectors of the Riviera Maya.
Laura Beristain, informed that the works will begin in the month of October and will be carried out in stages, the municipal government will give the adequate maintenance that during many former governments has not had the Fifth Avenue.
