The International Festival of Theater and Dance to be held in October and December this year, announced their schedule for these first editions, projecting works of national and international talent, dance and theater companies with a distinguished career in scenarios worldwide will showcase their work for free to the general public in presentations, workshops and activities of interest to fans of both artistic disciplines.
In both cases, the festivals of theater and dance, will be held at the newly opened theater in the city of Playa del Carmen, as well as the Cultural Center of the municipality and other alternative spaces, all with the support of CONACULTA, Department of State Education and Culture, Department of Culture of the State and the Municipal Government of Playa del Carmen through its Department of Culture.
FITeatro will be held from 5 to 11 October 2015, with a program in which productions of companies like Hugo Arrevillaga with the play “Clausura del amor”, starring Anton Araiza Arcelia Ramirez and are included in addition to The participation of Colochos, murmuring theater and Belacqua syndrome and Stationary Travel Chilean company with an adaptation of “Otelo”, we will have the following presentations: “Corazon Gordito” by director Saul Enriquez, “El Burgués gentilhombre” directed by Matilde Altomaro and “Legendas del Mayab” directed by Carla Pedroza. The festival will also feature a special training area for scenic creators acting workshops and theater expansion, a forum of documentary theater, talks, and a laboratory management and stage projects.
