February 4th of last year, the then mayor of Solidaridad, RománQuian Alcocer, in the council room, “Javier Rojo Gomez,” led the presentation of the project to link to Playa del Carmen, Solidaridad, with the Tintal community, municipality of Lázaro Cárdenas, through a toll road about 54 miles, and that in the case of this city on Avenida interconnect Luis Donaldo Colosio Murrieta. The construction of the highway branches, which will begin later this month of January with private investment and is expected to close later this year 2012, will allow for shorter routes between locations in central Quintana Roo, bypassing the cities like Cancun or Playa del Carmen and allowing efficient movement and also stimulate increased transport of goods and services in the region with the highest quality. Also expected that this important work will help improve economic conditions in the villages near the project and provide greater safety, efficiency and convenience in transportation of products.
