We had the opportunity to go to Xoximilco, a park by Xcaret Experiences and it was delightful!
From beginning to end we felt welcomed, as we arrived and waited for the Trajineras (colorful gondola-like boat) to part we were given really delicious esquites (creamy corn cups) and delicious drinks, the ticket costs $80 USD ($1280 MXN) and you get open bar with Tequila and beer and best of all you get to taste a variety of traditional Mexican dishes as you stop by musical trajineras, each trajinera has a band playing on board and each band plays a different genre of traditional Mexican Music!
Xoximilco is not just the ride on the trajinera.
It is a whole gourmet experience!
When we think of Mexican food we always think of ingredients such as corn, chili, beans, squashes, avocados, cocoa, tomato …. But Mexican cuisine is more than sauces or omelets. Exploring Mexican cuisine is like traveling in time, and knowing about tradition and the real Mexico!
It was a great experience and we highly recommend it if you are looking for something different, fun and cultural to do with friends, plus the staff at Xoximilco will treat you like family!
