Playa del Carmen’s 1st marathon will take place on Sunday, October 28th. The 42k (26 mile) course will traverse 5th Avenue, downtown, jungle and beach. If you don’t want to run a full marathon, you can also register for the 21k, 10k or 3k races. Just to give you an idea of 10k is in retrospect, if you were to run twice around Playacar Phase 2 the full circle that would be it. So what are you scared of? Start training now and you be happy to accomplish this. Not only that but it’s for a good cause!
For each registered marathon runner, a planter made of recycled materials will be donated for rooftop gardens in Playa del Carmen. Also, 50% of registration fees will be donated to Efecto Verde for their rooftop garden projects.

PACKET DELIVERY AND RESULTS
Delivery of packages will be in the city of Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo in the mall “Centro Maya” on Saturday 27 October from 8.00am to 8.00pm.
GRAND PRIZES
$ 300,000.00 to be distributed among the top five absolute Marathon in both 21k and 42k branches. Prizes and awards will also be given to the top category distances of 10k, Marathon and Half Marathon. Delivering the award ceremony will be on Sunday October 28thin the city of Playa del Carmen, place and time is still to be determined.
