Webcams from Quintana Roo hotels tell that the massive presence of sargassum is not widespread, so neither everyday nor on all beaches reports the massive gathering of the seaweed.
In images shown on Monday May 20 you can see the natural beauty and turquoise blue beaches like Playa Centro and Playa Norte in Isla Mujeres, Palancar in Cozumel and Isla de la Pasión in Holbox.
The same images show that the largest sargassum is concentrated in Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Akumal and Mahahual, where actions are currently carried out for the cleaning and containment of the seaweed.
According to the Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR), which reports on the Mexican Stock Exchange, from the first to April 30, 2019, compared to the same period of 2018, domestic passenger traffic at the Cancun International Airport grew 5.6 percent.
In the year of 2019, Cancún received 745 thousand 015 passengers while in 2018 the figure was 705 thousand 655 thousand people.

In this same area, Cozumel had a movement of 34 thousand 133 international passengers in 2019 while on the same date of 2018 it was 32 thousand 822, which represents a growth of four percent.
