Marriott, the world’s largest hotel group with more than one million rooms worldwide, will bring its W Hotels brand to Playa del Carmen, in a futuristic hotel that is expected to open by 2023 and offer 218 rooms facing the sea, after achieving an agreement with the hotel group Fibra Inn.
“We are excited to work with hotel developer Fibra Inn to open a cutting-edge W hotel in Playa del Carmen, a destination ready for the brand’s bold design, exclusive Whatever / Whenever service and innovative programming,” Laurent said. They explained that this hotel is expected to provide visitors to Playa del Carmen “an exciting new accommodation option” that embodies the philosophy of the W Hotels brand: “Work hard, play hard”.
The Fibra Inn plan requires multiple places for food and drinks, both indoors and outdoors; a signature WET Deck; an AWAY Spa; a fitness center; and a beach club and rooftop bar. Meanwhile, it will have 500 m² of space for meetings and events.
