Cancun International Airport is poised for additional expansion as the booming destination continues to smash visitor records.
The airport’s operator, Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (Asur), recently announced its 2019-2023 investment plan, which includes a new Terminal Five at Cancun Airport.
Approximately 6.1 billion pesos ($303.5 million) will be spent on the new terminal as well as upgrades for nearby Cozumel International Airport over the next five years. Both airports saw notable increases in passenger traffic last year.
