Where to stay in Playa del Carmen

Playa Del Carmen is heart of the Riviera Maya, it’s a mixture between the high style of Cancun and that bohemian feel Tulum has. So when it comes to accommodation, pretty sure you will find the right option for your budget.

Playa Del Carmen’s most exclusive zone with golf courses, all inclusive hotels and luxurious houses. This is a great option for people looking forward to stay in the hotel and have a relaxing holiday. You will find a lot of privacy and leisure activities here. But if your budget is tight you might want to check out other places.

Between Constituyentes avenue and the harbor is basically the most active area in Playa Del Carmen. The downtown is very active all day and night, you will never get bored here and the best part is that everything is within walking distance. Depending on your budget you can find a nice hotel, hostel or a vacation rental property. Just book your place with anticipation because the occupation in Playa is usually above 85% all year long!

Between Constituyentes and 46th street is a high profile residential area with plenty of beautiful condos, many of them available for vacation rental. This area is known as Mamitas and is arguably the most popular beach in Playa del Carmen. This zone is quiet and less crowded than the downtown, but still, very close to the main attractions in this town.

At the end of the day it really doesn’t matter that much, Playa is so accessible that you can visit Xcaret or Cozumel in the morning and have great night out the very same day! And the people is amazing, locals and tourist share the same positive attitude… it’s easy to fall in love with Playa.
