UNESCO Announces Plans for Club in Playa del Carmen

United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officials announced they would be opening a club in Playa del Carmen.

According to the Riviera Maya News, UNESCO wants to have representation in the state of Quintana Roo that combines the efforts of the local government with non-government organizations looking to improve Mexico.

As part of the announcement by UNESCO in Mexico, vice president Enrique Renteria Castro and local deputy Sonia Lopez Cardiel revealed the club intends to act on “global problems with local repercussions that contribute to the reflection process of social priorities.”
