AMResorts announces short-term expansion plan
The US chain plans to build 100 new hotels, of which six will be located in Playa del Carmen, Akumal and Playa a Mujeres, destinations in the state of Quintana Roo where high growth is envisioned over the next few years.
The estimated expansion project for 2020 involves an investment of $ 420 million USD, explained Irene Prado, Sales Director Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort.
Likewise, Prado pointed out that in Playa Mujeres, build two hotels of 450 and 400 rooms respectively, where an average of 150 million dollars will be allocated for its construction.
The properties that will be in Playa del Carmen and Akumal may have variations in the number of rooms, as it seeks to make a novel concept and different for both sites, said El Financiero.
