New flight service from Detroit to Mexico City
ROMULUS, Mich. (WXYZ) – Aeromexico is launching a new daily, nonstop service between Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and Mexico City, Mexico. It starts April 1st, 2017. New daily service to Monterrey, Mexico (MTY) will begin May 1st, 2017.
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony April 3rd to ring in the new flight service. It will hapen at 3pm at the Westin Hotel at Metro Airport.
Aeromexico Flight 430 from Mexico City is scheduled to arrive in Detroit at 2:20 p.m. on April 3rd. The Airport Authority Fire Department will greet the aircraft with a traditional water cannon salute as the plane taxis to Gate A-28 at the McNamara Terminal.
